Notice how the Valentine 1 provides some texture to the on and off again nature of the extended IO encounter. It is important to recognize that the quicker radar detectors provided nearly 24 seconds of additional preparation time (as compared to the "slower" ones) to the impending radar threat! Also notice, the gentle progression of the signal ramp of the Valentine 1 to clearly convey severity of approaching threat.
